If it's Tueseday it must be tedium.

I'm still thinking about Lonnie Donegan, the skiffle dude who died the other day. His song, Does Your Chewing Gum Lose It's Flavor On The Bedpost Overnight, was one of the biggest novelty songs of the early 60's. Every kid knew all the words. Let me see if I can remember the chorus.

Does your chewing gum lose it's flavor on the bedpost over night?
If your mother says don't chew it, do you swallow it in spite?
Can you catch it on your tonsils and heave it left and right?
Does your chewing gum lose it's flavor on the bedpost over night?
[Reprise]
A dollar is a dollar and a dime is a dime
I'd sing another chorus but I haven't got the time.
On the bedpost, over night-tttttttt.
